What is the purpose of the BC Air Touring Helmet?

The BC Air Touring Helmet is a lightweight, highly ventilated, and easily packable helmet used specifically for backcountry touring.

Are there different sizes of helmets?

Yes, the BC Air Touring Helmet is offered in size S, M, and L/XL. The circumference measurements are (S) 20 ½” x 21 5/8” / 51-55 cm, (M) 22” x 23 1/8” / 55-59 cm, (L/XL) 23 1/2” x 24 3/8” / 55-59 cm. This product also utilizes the Boa® Fit System to adjust the helmet comfortably to your head.

Can I use a BC Air Touring Helmet for cycling?

Yes, in addition to being ASTM F2040-2018 certified for alpine skiing, the BC Air Touring Helmet is CPSC 16 CFR 1203 certified for cycling.

Can I strap my headlamp or goggles to the helmet?

Yes, the four clips on the helmet are designed to secure your headlamp on your helmet and can be used for goggles, as well.

Are the ear pads removable?

Yes, the ear pads are easily removable for reduced bulk and increased ventilation while retaining the fit system.

Does the BC Air Touring Helmet include MIPs?

No, this product does not include MIPS.
