Denali – What Worked and What Didn’t
By Lou Dawson

The following is an exerpt from Lou Dawson's blog. If you would like to read the full review, please visit Wildsnow.com.

Shovels – [...] The BCA Chugach Pros were perfect, and the couple of BCA Arsenal models we brought were also super useful. We wondered if an expedition really needs one shovel per person. Conclusion: So long as your shovel selection varies and you bring a few smaller ones, one shovel per person works well if you do need to dig out after a storm, but you could probably get away with something like two shovels for every three people.
