FLOAT MTNPRO VEST AVALANCHE AIRBAGS

How does the Float MtnPro Vest Avalanche Airbag work?
Watch our video to see how to operate the Float MtnPro Vest Avalanche Airbag for snowmobilers.

What sizes are available for the Float MtnPro Vest Avalanche Airbag?
The Float MtnPro Vest Avalanche Airbag comes in one size (M/L) that will fit well on the majority of body types. The Float MtnPro Vest avalanche airbag is specifically designed for backcountry snowmobiling. Adjustable waist straps allow for a wide range of flexibility along the rider’s waist; the length of the vest however is fixed. Fit issues may occur for very tall or very short body types.

Does the Float MtnPro Vest Avalanche Airbag pack work with the same air cylinder as other BCA Float packs?
Yes, the Float MtnPro Vest uses the same float airbag system (150 Liter Airbag) as all other Float models and is compatible with the Float cylinder used in those models. BCA recommends testing your air cylinder and airbag once every season to ensure that everything is mechanically sound before heading into the field.

How do I attach and route my BC Link radio through the Float MtnPro Vest?
The Float MtnPro Vest was designed with the use of our BC Link radio in mind allowing the radio to integrate seamlessly into the vest. Just like the trigger to your avalanche airbag is routed, you will be routing the BC Link cord through the opposite side of your trigger location, up through the shoulder of the vest and down through the airbag compartment. Simply disconnect the Smart Mic from the base unit of the BC Link radio and route the end of the cord starting at the front of the vest where your mic will rest once installed. Undo the airbag compartment and locate where the cord will route through at the top of the airbag compartment. Route the cord behind the airbag and down through the opening into the main compartment. Connect the Smart Mic cord to the BC Link radio base unit and re-pack the airbag back into the airbag compartment. There is a designated pocket inside the main compartment for the BC Link radio. Be sure that the Smart Mic cable is not routed over the airbag or in any way that might hinder the airbag from deploying. Once you zip up the airbag compartment, utilize one of the webbing loops where your Smart Mic will rest to keep the Smart Mic from bouncing around while riding.

Tip: If your confused about how to route the mic cable through the airbag compartment, look at how the trigger cable is routed through that area and try to copy it with the Smart Mic cable to ensure you will not cause any obstruction to the airbag if deployed. Contact BCA via phone or email with questions.

What is the square pocket inside the main compartment designed for?
This elastic pocket is designed for the base unit of the BC Link radio. Simply put the radio inside the pocket and use the elastic cord and Velcro to secure.

Which BCA avalanche probes are compatible with the Float MtnPro Vest?
